There are various support services and resources available for people living with dementia and their caregivers:
The toolkit provides a wide range of free information, advice, and guidance on where to go or what to do if you have concerns about your memory, have been diagnosed with dementia, are a carer for someone with dementia, or know someone with dementia.
Buckinghamshire Mind offers support groups, counselling, and activities for individuals with dementia and their families.
Alzheimer’s Society Buckinghamshire provides information, support, and local services such as Dementia Cafes and Singing for the Brain sessions.
Alzheimer’s Society Young Onset Dementia offers information and advice for living with young onset dementia.
Carers Bucks: Support for carers of people with dementia through advice and support groups.
Oxford Health Memory Services provides memory services which aim to help people who are worried about their memory. Speak to your GP, who can refer you to the memory services.
Your GP can refer you to community health teams that specialise in dementia care for tailored support and advice.
