Mindfulness and meditation


Mindfulness can be a great way to deal with stress and help you relax. It involves paying more attention to the world around you and to your thoughts and feelings in the moment.

It’s easy to get caught up in things. Mindfulness helps us to become more aware and take a step back from our thoughts so that we do not become overwhelmed. This can help us to deal with stress and anxiety by recognising our thoughts and understanding that they cannot control us unless we let them. Mindfulness can also help with issues such as difficulty sleeping and depression.


As well as mindfulness, you may also like to practice meditation. Meditation is a more formal mindfulness practice which involves sitting in silence and focusing your attention on sounds, sensations (such as breathing) and clearing your mind of other thoughts.
