Money and benefits for carers
As a carer, you may have access to:
- carer's personal budget
- benefits, such as Carer's Allowance, Carer’s Credit or a reduction in your Council Tax payments
Carer's personal budget
After you've had a carer's assessment, you may get a support plan and a personal health budget to help with your caring role.
You can choose how you receive your personal budget. It can then be used for any of the assessed needs in your carer’s support plan.
Benefits
Carer's Allowance is a weekly payment if you are caring for someone for at least 35 hours a week.
